Dear readers and subscribers,
It’s been a worrisome year for many, I know – but the Christmas season is now upon us and perhaps (just maybe), we can put aside the worries of the moment and reflect upon the joy and the beauty, the giving and the sharing, that Christmas brings to so many of us.
Despite the push and shove of various societal elements, Christmas – remains wonderfully inescapable. Its traditions and rituals, established in simpler times, continue to remind us – that those we hold close, (including neighbours ) are the greatest gifts of all. The Grinch was on to something when he pondered – “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store.”
May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,
The happiness of Christmas give you hope,
The warmth of Christmas grant you love.
Have a wonderful Christmas, however you define it.
Bill
Tech Thoughts is winding down for the Christmas break – so, you might find us fairly quiet the next several weeks. Regular posting will begin again on Thursday, January 2, 2014.
Hey Bill,
Nice to see a post from you after soooooo long, I was thinking what happened that did not get a chance to read a post from you. Finally, you are back with the Christmas wishes.
Wish you a wonderful Christmas took, enjoy:).
Hey Neeraj,
Thank you my good man. 🙂
Hope all is going well with you, Neeraj.
Best,
Bill
Merry Christmas Bill !
Rick
Thanks Rick. The same to you and the missus. 🙂
Best,
Bill
Hi Bill,
Definitely a time to give some thought to those less fortunate, particularly those who are afraid to celebrate their religion for fear of persecution. How can it be that a way of life intended to bring out the best in humanity, so often seems to inspire the worst?
However bad things may be, there is always someone far worse off, so we need to count our blessings. No religious affiliation needed for that.
Have fun on the slopes, Bill and enjoy your break; not literally though 🙂
Kind regards
John
Hi John,
Power, corruption and greed – to answer the question. Oh, don’t let me forget sheer stupidity.
What strikes me as obscene is – people are “good” (better than good, most of us), yet we (some of us), allow twisted ideology to drive a philosophy hell-bent on destruction – political, religious………
But, it’s Christmas – we should, as you suggest, “count our blessings.” Perhaps sharing those blessings, for those who can, with those who are less fortunate, should be a universal truth. Next year, maybe. 🙂
Best,
Bill
Hey Bill,
Have a good Christmas and New Year. I appreciate all the hard work you do in presenting this site. It helps keep me informed, and although sometimes it’s aggravating reading about some of the stuff going on, you do balance it out with the lighter side of tech too.
Thanks.
Thanks Aseem. A special “thank you” for all your assists throughout the year.
Best Christmas wishes and I look forward to more assists from down your way in the coming year. 🙂
Bill

Hi Paul,
I said it before, but – it’s worth repeating. It’s telepathy!! I came across you on Google+ just two nights ago. 🙂
I’m very glad to hear that things worked out so well for you following the BIG move. Always said it was the right move.
Merry Christmas and the best in 2014 to you and yours. 🙂

Hi Bill!
Love your newsletter. I get so much information out of it on security and the threats. It’s one of the first things I read every day. Thanks very much!
I wish you a very merry christmas and a happy and sound 2014!
Regards from Ton
Thank you Ton. Happy to hear you find the newsletter worthwhile.

Hope your break is full of good food, wine & top company Bill. Peace! Michael.
Thank you (with bells, bows and ribbons) Michael, for all the help you’ve been this year with your awesome recos. You added an additional layer of educational and often humourous material, very much in keeping with the thrust of TNN.
Best wishes for a totally relaxing Christmas season.
Bill
Hi Bill,
Enjoy your slopes. I never figured out the draw of being out in the cold and taking a chance of breaking a leg or worse. Differences…makes the world go ’round.
Best wishes to you and yours for Christmas and New Year’s Day. Thanks for a great newsy, funny at times and informative newsletter. I enjoy reading it with my coffee.
Hey Delenn13,
Speed, madame – speed. Oh, and the daring-do. 🙂 And, of course – the good company (wine, women and song, etc.)
Best Christmas wishes to you and yours – have a wonderful holiday.
Bill
