“Every man should be born again on the first day of January.  Start with a fresh page.  Take up one hole more in the buckle if necessary, or let down one, according to circumstances; but on the first of January let every man gird himself once more, with his face to the front, and take no interest in the things that were, and are past”.

    Hi Bill,

    • Hi John,

I watched the New Year’s display over Sydney – SPECTACULAR – as it is every year, it seems.

“May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.

“May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.”

    Dear Bill,

I hope you are feeling suitably mellow today. Happy new year. Your sentiments are excellent and I have to confess I’ve had to let the belt out a couple of notches these past few weeks. I do plan to rectify that, the diet starts tomorrow; always the best time, I find!

Thank you for all your help and advice in 2011. May this year bring you continued health and happines.

    Slainte mhath!

    • Do dheagh shlàinte John,

Despite my 5 years of Irish Gaelic (all those years ago) – and, my recent jump back into the Dubliners classical Gaelic renditions, I had to think about that one. 🙂

Best wishes for the upcoming battles in 2012 – may we hammer the blighters!

    Hey Bill,
Happy New Year. Mine has started as usual, feeling unwell and swearing never to touch alcohol again lol. But it’s all good, I’ve said that many times.
    Let’s go hard in 2012.

  12. Hey Bill,

It seems I am late again. Happy Belated New Year brother.

    God Bless
