Gotta love LastPass , I’ve been using it for over 1 year now , never had a single issue with it regarding security, best to use the high grade security option in account settings. I think i’m switching to premium version to be able to use it on my phone. I recommend it 🙂

    Cheers

    Bill,

I’ve been using KeyPass, but I’m always up for something new – I’ll give LastPass a try.

      Hey Liam,

I know you’re an experimenter – so go for it.

      Good to see you here.

      Hi Mihai,

Great to have your input, your personal experience with, and your recommendation on, LastPast.

      Thanks.

  3. Hey Bill,

I have been using lastpass for a few months and would be very upset if I had to go back to remembering all those passwords again. As Glenn says, I don’t use it for my financial passwords because although I feel secure using it. I don’t give those out to anybody or any program.

For all the other passwords it is a great program and best of all…..no typing.

    Hey Bill,

I was using Password Safe for a long time, years in fact. I recently decided to just write my passwords on a piece of paper and store it securely, because no software program is perfect and I feel safer without passwords stored on my system.

    Cheers

      Hey Mal,

Great minds do think alike – that’s exactly what I’ve always done. I don’t allow any application to save my passwords. Password safes can be helpful, but they are not my style.

I wrote an article on this late last year – “Be Safe Write Down Your Passwords.” Your comment has convinced me to edit it, and re-run it tomorrow.

      Good comment.

      Best,

I’ve tried Lastpass, it’ great but it doesn’t work well with Opera, my preferred browser. Opera users can use Passpack instead.

Been using Lastpass now for 6 months after my Gmail account was hacked.

It’s truly awesome and now have the Lastpass account on my Nexus One Android Phone.

    Great article.

      Hey Andy,

I know how it feels to have a Gmail account hacked. Happened to me just a few days ago. Total bummer!

      Thanks for commenting.

    Hi Bill,,
inever used these passwords managers before but imight give this one here a try because ilove to play online games alot and ihave 20+ IDS and passwords so when iforget what ID and password for that game iget frustrated .
Does this program enables you to safe your account details such as security questions or your secret answer? Because that would be great!

      Hey Ahmed,

Yes – there is a security question requirement as part of the registration process.

    Hi Bill,
    Great review.
I have personally been using LastPass for two years now. Its really a great convenience.
But I have found it crashing many times, when I use it on Google Chrome. But it is fun to work on Firefox.

      Hey Silki,

I’m always happy to get another professionals opinion on an application. Thank you for that.

      Great to hear from you.

      Best,

      Bill

  11. I just started using Last Pass this week and I’m impressed. Very cross platform friendly, it works on Mac, Linux, Windows, and even my sad neglected Palm Pre. What more can you ask for?
