Delphi W32/Induc virus – what you need to know – A curious piece of malware called W32/Induc is designed to infect applications written using Delphi (a variant of the Pascal language originally developed by Borland, and now used to quickly develop Windows programs such as database applications). The virus inserts itself into the source code of any Delphi program it finds on an infected computer, and then compiles itself into a finished executable.

Nokia to Enter PC Industry with First Netbook – The world’s top cell phone maker Nokia said on Monday it would start to make laptops, entering a fiercely competitive, but fast-growing market.

Apple to ship Snow Leopard Aug. 28 – Apple said Monday that it will ship the latest upgrade to its OS X Aug. 28. The upgrade, known as Snow Leopard, refines OS X and features built-in Microsoft Exchange support.

Microsoft WINS vulnerability under attack – Just one week after Microsoft issued a fix for a worm hole in the Windows Internet Name Service (WINS), malicious hackers have started launching attacks against unpatched systems. The MS09-039 update, released earlier this month on Patch Tuesday, is rated “critical” and Microsoft warned at the time that it expected to see dangerous exploit code within 30 days.
