Free USB Uninstaller – Revo Uninstaller Portable

If you’re like me, I bet you just love your USB flash drives. Using flash drives, we can carry our favorite portable computer programs to work; bring our favorite music or games when partying with friends, or (sigh) we can take the office with us (without lugging the laptop), when we finally go off on that much deserved vacation!

If you’ve been searching for a fast and powerful uninstaller application for your USB drive, then Revo Uninstaller Portable is for you.

VS Revo Group, the developer of the original Revo Uninstaller, has released a portable version of this highly recommended (5 Star at CNET), utility. This free application with its advanced and fast algorithm scans before, and after, you uninstall an application.

To install Revo Uninstaller simply download the application from the developer’s site, extract the ZIP file to a folder, and then copy that folder to your flash drive and voila, you’re good to go!

How it works:

After the program, selected for deletion, regular uninstaller runs, you can remove additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that the Windows Add or Remove Programs applet usually leaves behind. This feature can save you from having to run a Registry Cleaner to finish the job.

Even if you have a broken installation, Revo Uninstaller scans for the application’s data on your drives and in the Windows registry, and shows all found files, folders and registry items so that they can be deleted.

I have revo regular installed on my desktop, laptop, and for some odd reason, not my work desktop (which i am master of my own domain). well, i have administrative rights on it which drives the company controller nuts. i have her convinced now that i know my way around computers pretty well.

that being said, i went to remove a program today and looked, and looked, and looked to find revo. what the heck? i didn’t install it.

revo is one awesome removal product. it wipes all the leftover stuff from the registry and other places that software leaves behind.

if you don’t use it, try it out. you will be amazed (as i was) at what windows uninstaller leaves behind.

it’s especially nice if you like to try out software.

a word of caution though, use it with caution. i leave it on the “moderate” setting and i still don’t completely trust it not to remove something i need. carefully inspect what you are deleting because when you hit the kabosh button, it’s gone.

      Hey Glenn,

Once again a very astute comment! You do know your way around computers
better than just “pretty well” – your company controller is lucky to have
      you on board.

      Talk to ya later,

    Hey Bill,
When you gave instructions on how to install Revo Uninstaller on the usb drive, does that mean that I will first have to intall the working copy in my computer before I can run it from the usb drive? I hope it’s not the case since I really just prefer to run the uninstaller from the usb drive and keep my computer extremely “sleek.” I don’t want to install any other program on my computer if I could just run them from a usb drive. It’s my first time using vista hp when I bought a brand new computer but after installing UltimateDefragmenter,, Eraser, Firefox and my computer mfc’s custom theme (vista compatible and already have Avira Antivir installed) I started getting random freezes. When I contacted my computer mfc’s tech support, they couldn’t figure out what caused it so we had to re-install vista. After the fresh install I re-installed the same softwares and had the same random freezes. I re-installed again, but this time I didn’t bother installing any of the softwares, including Firefox. I’m really into security so I never go to any sites that I don’t know about to avoid any spywares, etc.

I just want to avoid installing any softwares as much as possible to keep my pc streamlined and potentially trouble-free. If anything, it’ll be so much easier to troubleshoot my computer with only a handful of softwares installed in it.
