Our anthem. Like never before. Five musicians conduct an experiment to perform O Canada using nothing but instruments made from Molson Canadian bottles and cans. The result is something no one expected. Very cool!

“I AM CANADIAN”
Hey, I’m not a lumberjack, or a fur trader….
I don’t live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled….
and I don’t know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I’m certain they’re really really nice.
I have a Prime Minister, not a president.
I speak English and French, not American.
And I pronounce it ‘about’, not ‘a boot’.
I can proudly sew my country’s flag on my backpack.
I believe in peace keeping, not policing,
diversity, not assimilation,
and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch,
and it is pronounced ‘zed’ not ‘zee’, ‘zed’ !!!!
Canada is the second largest landmass!
The first nation of hockey!
and the best part of North America
My name is Joe!!
And I am Canadian!!!
Happy Canada Day to you Bill keeping-it-real Mullins
Thanks Michael,
Yep – it’s zed not zee.
A few years back, one of my American nieces (in University in Philadelphia no less), posed the question – “Uncle Bill, what state is Toronto in?” The occasion was a great opportunity to practice my mellow diplomatic skills. I passed the test – sort of.
Best,
Bill
That does it, we invade tomorrow!
Cheers
Mark
Hey Mark,
lol. Looking forward to the visit, er, invasion.
Best,
Bill
Loved that video.
So are we invading or being invaded?.. So confused.
Hey Delenn13,
Yeah, cool video, huh?
Nope – the invasion has been postponed for another year. Just gonna get together with our American friends and Partaaaaay.
Best,
Bill
Loved the video, Bill. Hope you had a great day.
Hi Paul,
A super day – thanks.
Dropped by your place a few times last week – terrific pics of your “old” village and environs. Very enjoyable.
Best,
Bill
Have a good one!
I should add, I’ve never really been fond of that beer, but I do enjoy Canadian Mist. Canadian whiskey has long been a staple in my family. I’m not sure if it’s because we’re cheap, or because we like the flavor, but we all seem to prefer it. Oh, I don’t turn my nose up at Jim Beam or Jack Daniels, but if you check my liquor closet, you’re much more likely to find Black Velvet, R&R, and Crown Royal. So good job you guys. Keep up the good work! Sorry about the beer thing, but I’m partial to Mexican beers.
Hey Writerdood,
Yeah, I recall commenting on one of your articles last year on the beer thing. Seems to me you covered your love affair with Mexican beers in that one. Can’t say I blame you – Mexico brews some fab beers.
Crown Royal and I have a looong history. It treats me kindly.
Best,
Bill
