DAZ 3D – Free 3D Software and 3D Model Providers

Yes, you have to sign up for it. Yes, you have to sing up for newsletters. BUT.. They do keep your Serial numbers for you. Plus they will send you offers for cash vouchers and a lot of the plug ins are offered free in the newsletters. You just have to search for them. The programs themselves are great but some of the add on are really cool.

Note: From experience..I know. If you sign up or get a program/add on/plugin/tutorial, make sure you download them right away. The downloads will expire.

    • Hey Delenn13,

      Fanntastique!!

I have a Daz 3D account (have had for many moons) – just downloaded DAZ Studio Pro. Got the whole shebang – serial #s and all. Will go after the rest shortly.

In the meantime, I’m just about ready to put up your comment as a post.

What a deal. We all owe you – BIG TIME. :)

      Thank you!

      Best,

      Bill

    • Matt

Thanks! i currently use SolidWorks, but it would be nice to give DAZ a try!

      • Hey Matt,

Yeah, for sure. At this price it’s worth taking all of them for a spin.

I just took a look at my account with these folks (have had it for years), and I had 26 free plug-ins waiting for me. I guess I should drop in and checkout the scene more often. :)

        Best,

        Bill

The XYplorer fooled us by giving a BETA version.

    check here:

    I’m hurt by this.

    • Hi Grr,

This seems most unusual. I just read all 170+ comments regarding this app and no mention was made of a beta version. And yet, that’s what you have – a beta.

I’ve just dashed off a note to GOTD and I’ll pass on any info.

      Best,

      Bill

      Grr,

I have the same version but I am not showing “beta” but then I have had another one of my headaches so I am not playing with a full deck here. I, personally, would go straight to the top. Go to the website and fire off an email to Donald Lessau, the developer, or go into the forums and ask..or check around.

I am still playing around with this..

  3. Grr

Yes, the gaotd was a BETA and I have several people confirming the same.
Also that it had bugs, and guess what a new version is out now:

    19-Jan-2012: 10.80.0000
    30-Jan-2012: 10.80.0100
    08-Feb-2012: 10.80.0300 <—–released today

On top of all this gaotd didn't approve my comment & the offered version supports no updates. Now I'm angry.

    Thanks,
    Grr
