hi bill how do i get rid of google alarm?
Hi Kenneth,
If you’re running Google Chrome – On the top right of your Browser is a “spanner/wrench” symbol. Click the arrow next to it. It will display a menu. Select “extensions”. Highlight the proper extension and click the uninstall option.
If you’re running Firefox – Click on the Tools menu and then click Add-ons. Select the add-on you want to disable and then click the Disable button.
Best,
Bill
thank you oh so very much, it does give you a clear pictures of who is planning stuff, every page or site
that air horn would go off.
my next question is yahoo.com email won’t work in
maxthon and pale moon. i get “refuses cookie”. i have tried to contact yahoo and get no response, only that they got my messages. would you have any ideas?
Hey Kenneth,
This isn’t a Yahoo issue. The issue is within your Browser and the privacy settings you’ve chosen. In effect, you’re telling your browser not to allow Yahoo to set a cookie.
I’m not familiar with either Maxton or Pale Moon (other than knowing that they are available), but here’s a generic solution. In each Browser’s Toolbar, click on (these may be named differently as per the Browser), Tools / Internet Options / Privacy tab. Press ‘Default’. This will solve the problem.
Best,
Bill
Hi Bill. Once again your column and expertise has solved an issue for me: namely getting rid of (COMPLETELY) the ZoneAlarm on my kids pc. I had installed the freebie some time ago, and it did all sorts of nasty things. I tried using Revo Uninstaller amongst other utilities but to no avail. Well, I spotted IObit yesterday and gave it a try. ZoneAlarm G O N Z O !!! Ha ha ha. It was the only utility that had the optional “advanced” setting, meaning “don’t take no for an answer”. And of course, FREE was great! Thanks again for all you’ve done for your readers. You’re the best !! Have a great Thanksgiving Day also.
Don
Hi Don,
Good one! There’s always a way, huh?
If you should ever run into this issue again, take a look at – AppRemover, a powerful free anti-malware, antivirus application remover, supports the removal of virtually all of the most popular antivirus/antispyware applications, as well as tough to delete Firewalls.
Best,
Bill
