Weebly – Powerful, Free, Website Creator

If 2010 is the year you’ve decided to create and host your own website for personal, or business reasons, then you’ll be impressed with what Weebly, a free Web site builder and hosting service, has to offer.

Sure there are more than a few sites on the Internet that offer similar free services, but frankly; most of them suck. Who needs a website that looks like it was created with an old version of MS FrontPage? Who needs a website so filled with advertising that your page content loses focus?

Instead, you need a website that looks highly professional and polished. A website where you control the advertising – assuming, that in fact, you want advertising on the site.

With Weebly you control virtually every essential aspect of site design – and built-in integration with Google AdSense, allows you to deliver text and image ads that are specific to your site and your site content, if you choose.

The best part? With this free package you can turn out an attractive and effective web site without the need for any complex HTML, or other programming skills.

Using any one of the 70+ professional templates, WYSWYG (What You See Is What You Get) design tools, and your drag and drop skills, absolutely everyone (regardless of age or education level), can build a professional, and attractive website without having any previous experience.

If you’re looking to create that first web site using a WYSIWYG visual web page creator, and you want to do it for free, including web hosting, then this free service from Weebly will fill the bill admirably.

  1. You’ve picked something else that I’ve been using for a long time now, Bill. I have two web sites using Weebly, including the one linked to here. It used to be a bit slow and klunky, but things have become faster and more reliable over time. Also the number and range of options has steadily improved, as has their support. I’d certainly recommend Weebly as an easy way to set up a simple web site, and the more expert options are there if needed.

      Hey Dave,

I’ve been by your site a number of times and I must admit, I had no idea it was built on Weebly. That’s very cool!

      Thanks for your supportive recommendation.

  2. Hi Bill,

Very interesting service. First I though how this is free later I understand they will put a charge after you cross a space limit. But still this site is worthy enough.

  3. Bill,

Hmmmm…..Very interesting… Will be checking Weebly out! It is absolutely amazing the options out there to publish on the web. Who would have thought we would be using an awesome service, such as WordPress, to post our sites (blogs).

      Hey Rick,

Choices, choices, choices! Confusion, confusion, confusion!

Choice is good of course, but I sometimes wonder if we don’t have to much choice in some areas.

I’ve tested a bunch of free hosting services, and generally they are really just advertising revenue generators derived from someone else’s efforts. Weebly, on the other hand, allows the content provider to profit from his efforts. That makes it a winner in my view.

      Thanks for stopping by.

Great read. I will have to try this out. But I have a few more questions I would like to email you about.

  5. Visit any of the sites below and look for the post your ad link. You can start with any of the sites that are in bold. We recommend setting up a separate email account for posting ads.

Step 1. Visit the classified site.
With Classifieds for Free, you can start posting ads without an account, but you will have more options if you register. You can post different ads to different cities, states or countries.

Step 2. Most sites will require an account to post ads. It is a good idea to use the same user name and pass for each site. You should also download Roboform to make life easier. Roboform is a software that remembers your information and automatically fills out web forms when needed.

With Classifieds for Free registering an account is optional.

Step 3. Post your ads to the relevant categories. Some sites will allow you to enter a separate URL or webpage. This is where you paste your hoplink. Otherwise, the link can be included in the body of the ad. If posting ads for our site, it can be posted to the Business Opportunities, Home Based Business or Work At Home categories.

  6. I truly agree. I have tried at least a dozen free web builders, but weebly i s the coolest one. Check out my site and see the potential of weebly.

    Kudos to the developers.
